Indian Trail Farm
A field trip to INDIAN TRAIL FARM will be educational, fun and exciting for all. New Jersey recognizes the horse as an important animal to our state. In fact, the horse is incorporated into the state seal and state flag.

The general itinerary for a trip is as follows:
Students will learn about proper care, feeding, living environment, and physical parts of the horse and tack
Students will sit in a 24’ authentic tipi and learn about the Lenape tribe (the original people of New Jersey) and embark on a nature walk to observe nature through the eyes of Native Americans
Students will learn about, socialize with, and hand feed myatonic goats. This gentle breed is also known as "fainting goats"
Students will learn about our Mediterranean Donkeys and their proper care
Students will be given pony rides in the indoor arena and experience proper brushing of the horse

A hayride is included for all students and attendees
Student attire should be casual, but no open-toe shoes, and no skirts or dresses.
A spiral-bound educational booklet is available to all students for a minimal fee. This booklet will review what the students learned during their visit, plus additional information.
Note: Please call Erica for additional information, scheduling and pricing.
